Goals
Jesus is waiting for you! Our goal is to spread the word of God to as many as possible and allow everyone the chance of coming to know Jesus Christ.
Must we be baptized?
Colossians 2:12-13 explains that being baptized is the means God has provided for us to share in the sacrifice made by Jesus through faith in the operation of God. (King James Version)
1st Peter 3:21 tells us how baptism saves us, not washing the body, but by cleansing us of sin through the death and resurrection of Jesus. (King James Version)
In Acts 22:16 Paul was asked, “And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” Baptism is an essential part of our salvation. (King James Version)
What must I do to be Saved?
This is the most important question that could ever be asked. The Bible explains very clearly what is needed for salvation. We must understand, it is more than a single act that grants us salvation.
First, we must have faith. Hebrews 11:6 tells us it is impossible to please God without faith. Ephesians 2:8 states, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” (King James Version) At the same time, while we are saved by faith, faith alone cannot save us.
James 2:14 asks the questions, “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?” James answers that question in verse 17 saying, Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” (King James Version)
In Acts 2:38, when a multitude realized that Christ truly was the son of God, they asked what they should do to right themselves with God. The Apostle Peter responded, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (King James Version)
2nd Peter 3:9 informs us that repentance, turning away from sins, can prevent us from perishing. Romans 6, verses 3-5 tells us that we are baptized into Christ’s death, which allows us to share in his resurrection.
Once we have believed in Christ, repented of our sins, and been baptized into Christ, we must strive to live as Christ commanded. 1st John 1:6-7 states, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (King James Version)
